The Samsung Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10+ smartphone could come with a new redesigned full display.

Overview: Samsung Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10+

Samsung is taking the infinity display series from Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone. Samsung launched Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ earlier this year and now the rumors and leaks are coming out about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10+ device. The Samsung Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10+ smartphone could come with a new redesigned full display with minimum bezels for earpiece and front camera module.

Under Display Fingerprint Sensor

Next year there will be the 10th anniversary of Samsung smartphone segment and that will be the year of Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10+ launch along with Samsung Galaxy X (foldable screen) also. It is quite expected to get the Samsung Galaxy S10 device with under display fingerprint sensor. Samsung already facing some issues with some hardware and development issues with the under display fingerprint sensor and it is already mentioned a few months ago that Samsung is working with Synaptics but there were some technical issues.

3D Face Recognition and AI Feature

In addition, upcoming Samsung Galaxy devices could feature the 3D Face Recognition technology for faster and better screen unlock than the dedicated fingerprint scanner. Reports say that this will be powered by AI technology. Apple and Xiaomi already launched their flagship device with this technology. Though the Samsung’s Iris Scanning technology is also very good and reliable and much faster and accurate than Face ID even in low light. We have already seen the Iris scanner in Samsung Galaxy S8/Galaxy S8 Plus/ Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus devices. The AI-powered device can do most of the smart things without extra activity.

Full Bezel-Less Display

According to The Indian Express, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) posted recently that the Samsung filed a patent of a fully bezel-less display. The reports and leaks are coming out that the Samsung Galaxy S10 will definitely come with a full display design. However, there are some rumored images showing that the device could have a thin bezel at upper side for the earpiece, sensors, and dual front camera setup. As per Ice Universe post, the 2019 Samsung smartphone will feature almost 93+ percent of the screen to body ratio 4K HDR display.

It is quite expected to have a little chin if the device doesn’t come with a notch. Samsung basically doesn’t want to include the notch design just like others and it’s nice and interesting that at least one smartphone manufacturing company will launch a flagship device without any notch in 2019. As we all know that 2018 is very familiar with the notch displays. This time the display could come with approximately 600 ppi and will feature the M9 series OLED display with maximized resolution.

Exynos or Qualcomm SoC

Samsung announced already in February this year that they invested $5.6 billion to make 7nm Exynos chipset which will be much smaller than current flagship chipset and powerful too. But the testing and development will start later this year. That means there are almost no chances to launch Samsung Galaxy S10 device with Exynos flagship chip. Maybe Qualcomm will launch any flagship Mobile SoC (Snapdragon 855) by the end of this year or early 2019 and that could be the processor of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 mobile.

But the testing and development will start later this year.

Qualcomm recently launched their most powerful and advanced Snapdragon 850 Mobile Compute Platform chip for Windows 10 laptops, which is overclocked and better than the current Snapdragon 845 mobile SoC. That means a lot and we can expect a higher version processor within the next 7-8 months. However, as per Ice Universe, the flagship smartphone of 2019 will come with the custom CPU, GPU, and NPU (Neural Processing Unit) chip. As of now, there are so many facts which will clear within a few months definitely.

Triple Rear Camera Setup

The Samsung Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10+ could come with the triple rear camera set up along with dual tone dual LED flash with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) support. The integrated AI feature will increase the camera performance up to 2x times than the current Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ device. The dual-aperture lens with auto HDR and portrait mode Galaxy S10 user will take clear and vibrant shots even in low lighting condition.

The triple cameras can also capture up to 4x times field of the depth view along with Geo-tagging and Panorama mode. It will also feature a new version of animoji with some advanced options and characters. The rear cameras will also capable of 4K HDR video recording with super slow motion effect. The front could also feature dual selfie camera with a LED flash where you can expect 1080P video recording @60fps. There are so many rumors about this, so we have to wait for the proper data.

5G Connectivity

According to the recent reports, Samsung Galaxy S10 could come with 5G connectivity feature. That will bring a new life in your daily life through browsing and streaming web and be downloading or running apps and games etc. Not only 5G but it supports super-fast 5G also with higher frequency baseband versions. Qualcomm and Samsung recently announced a ‘strategic relationship‘ contract, which actually mentioned the 5G Transition.

RAM and Storage Capacity

As per leaks, Samsung Galaxy S10 could come with the next generation LPDDR5 RAM and the UFS 3.0 internal storage capacity. That’s huge in terms of the performance and speed. Though the exact RAM variant is unknown, still we can expect it to come with 8GB or maybe 10GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The LPDDR5 RAM can use a smaller bit and it could be higher than the desktop variant. The data rates of LPDDR4X RAM features maximum around 4,266 Mbit/s speed.

The UFS (Universal Flash Storage) has a powerful data transfer speed up to 23.2Gbps

The UFS 3.0 made for smartphones, Chromebooks, VR, and Cars which has twice bandwidth than the current UFS 2.1 storage. The UFS (Universal Flash Storage) has a powerful data transfer speed up to 23.2Gbps (11.6Gbps in two rows). The UFS storage has low power consumption capacity. The UFS Host Controller Interface (UFSHCI) V3.0 already available in the markets by JEDEC (Joint Electron Device Engineering Council). The Samsung Galaxy S10 could come with 256GB/512GB of UFS 3.0 onboard storage variant.

Other Features and Connectivity

The SLP (Service Location Protocol) built-in GPS system could also be featured by Samsung in Galaxy S10 flagship phone. However, there is not enough information about this. The device will feature Water and Dust resistance IP certification, Corning Gorilla Glass protection, Bluetooth v5.0 or above, 5G connectivity as mentioned above, Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, 3D Facial Recognition, Under Display Fingerprint Sensor etc.

It is expected to get a 4,000mAh non-removable battery in the Samsung Galaxy S10 handset.

It is expected to get a 4,000mAh non-removable battery in the Samsung Galaxy S10 handset. It will come with wireless charging, fast charging, USB-C port option. The handset will run on Android P with Experience UI out of the box pack. All the mentioned details are based on several leaks and rumors, the actual specs and design can be different from this.

Price and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy S8 was priced at $725 (US Dollars), whereas, the Samsung Galaxy S9 was priced at $720 (Slightly cheaper than S8) when launched. So, we can expect the Samsung Galaxy S10 will be priced at around $750. All the tax rates, other expenses, flagship grade hardware, and other technology improvements in 2019 will cost this amount normally. However, we aren’t sure about it.

The device could launch in early or before the April 2019. The date isn’t confirmed yet. In the end, all we can say that the Samsung will definitely blow our mind by Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10+ smartphone.
