The Samsung Bixby speaker could launch in August this year with an AI-assistant feature. There are rumors that Samsung and Harman jointly working on an AI speaker. The CEO of Harman International, Dinesh Paliwal, told Korean media that the speaker would be better than the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa speaker. The latest rumor indicating that the speaker could be named ‘MAGBEE’ and Samsung already has registered a trademark in Europe.
Samsung Bixby Speaker Expected Launch and Pricing
According to the Korea Herald, Samsung has already been granted design patent for a new standalone audio device which will run on Bixby Voice Assistance with AI integration. The speaker will be focused on sound quality and home device voice control feature. The company trying to reduce the cost of the audio device to compete with other devices in the market at a price around $200 (Rs.13,750 approx).
Now the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Samsung Galaxy Watch almost set for the launch on August 9 this year. So, we can expect the launch of Samsung Bixby speaker on the same day. However, there is no confirmation about that. It could be launch at (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) IFA 2018 in Berlin, Germany. The launch of Samsung Bixby speaker already delayed so many times earlier due to Bixby Voice Assistance issues.

Samsung Bixby Speaker Expected Design
As per the rumors and leaked reports, the Samsung Bixby speaker will be like Amazon Eco and Apple HomePod. The size will also be the same but the design could be an oval bowled type. The report says that it will come in different colors along with LED notification. As per leaks, the oval bowled shaped AI smart speaker could come with a legged bottom and lights at the top.
Samsung Bixby Speaker Expected Specifications
According to the Digital Trends, The Samsung Bixby speaker could support media casting such as Apple AirPlay and Google Cast on Google Home etc. The Samsung’s Smart View app for iOS and Android let users to stream content to your device and TVs via YouTube, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, your device local storage, etc.
When Samsung launched Bixby feature back in 2016, it merged all information into a single place and provides all recommended media contents in Samsung Galaxy S8 device. It also supports the third-party services like CNN, Spotify, Flipboard, Facebook, Foursquare, and Twitter. The Bixby also can do so many AI-related tasks, and updates over schedule and voice command like Setting an alarm, reminders, notes, weather, answering questions etc. Still, Bixby is not that much of convenient and smart like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
