Asus Zenfone Max Pro will launch in India on April 23, Monday. Asus and Flipkart announced their long-term for India on Tuesday that the Asus Zenfone Max Pro will be exclusively available via Flipkart. The sale will start at 12:30 pm on 23rd April. This will be the global launch of Zenfone Max Pro smartphone. Though we don’t have any details about the price tag.
The announcement was held in New Delhi at a Press Conference, Flipkart mentioned that the Asus Zenfone Max Pro will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Soc. So that will be definitely a mid-range smartphone in terms of specifications. Asus also confirms that the Zenfone 5 series smartphones are coming soon in India.
Asus and Flipkart Partnership
The strategic partnership of Asus and Flipkart doesn’t only maintain sales, stocks, and marketing but also manage the Indian market-based consumer research for the new products. Flipkart will be the exclusive seller of Zenfone products in online. Both the companies will give the opportunity to experience new devices to the consumers over e-commerce platform. Both the Asus and Flipkart will concentrate on consumer needs and marketing strategies from now in India.
‘The Asus Zenfone Max Pro will be the powerful and reasonable smartphone in terms of the specs and features’ said Asus.
However, the company didn’t reveal anything else about the specifications. It is expected to come with an 18:9 aspect ratio full HD+ display with 4GB and 6GB of RAM variant. The device could come with dual rear cameras and AI features as well. We all know that the Zenfone 5 series was also mainly focused on Cameras and display. This time also Asus might take Zenfone Max Pro as a camera-centric smartphone.
It is more expected to pack with a bigger 5,000 mAh battery and finger swipe gesture support for full-screen displays. The handset will run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box pack with the latest pure stock Android for more better and smoother user experience.
Asus CEO Jerry Shen said, “We are aiming to gain more Indian consumers to develop more suitable and affordable products for the Indian market with this partnership. Flipkart’s distribution and marketing strength will help Asus to build strong environment across India.”
Kalyan Krishnamurthy, Flipkart CEO said, “With the partnership with Asus, we are taking a step towards data-driven research and consumer insights to build fully customized Indian smartphones.”
Flipkart is aiming to own at least 40% of the total smartphone market in India by 2020 with the help of market research, technology improvements, consumer-based feedback, and more. Asus comes with a wide vision for the Indian market. Though the price of Asus smartphones are literally higher than expected and other smartphones in the market. For the Indian consumer, the price is much expected to be low and competitive than others. If Asus will focus on their hardware and price, then it would be a great thing.
