Well, it seems that Samsung is quite aggressive in terms of the providing latest software updates whether it’s a security patch or a performance improvement. In the month of June 2021, Samsung Galaxy A52 (4G) has received two software updates within a couple of weeks which is really appreciable. Yes! Previously, it has received the June 2021 patch update with general bug fixes and performance improvements. Now, the Galaxy A52 has received another new and big update A525FXXU2AUF3.
This particular update is although seems the same as the June 2021 patch update because it also contains the same month security patch. But there is a big difference in the update file size because the new one is around 1.3GB in update size which is really huge. Generally, we don’t see Samsung devices receiving security patch updates of more than 200-300MB in most scenarios but this is most probably includes multiple bug fixes.
Additionally, the Galaxy A52 users have reported that after installing this huge Galaxy A525FXXU2AUF3 update, their device feels much smoother in performance than before. Whereas, some users have mentioned that the touch response and scrolling through pages or normal gestures seem snappier. It’s also worth mentioning that switching between the opened apps from the Task Manager or switching between the modes in the Samsung Camera app seems lag-free right now.
Yes! Previously, it was something like stuttering quite often while changing between camera modes in the camera application or even while using gesture navigation and switching between opened tasks.
But we should also mention that Samsung hasn’t added any new option or feature with this update for sure. Because users didn’t find anything new in this update. Still, the image remastered option from the Gallery app is missing which the Galaxy A52 users are waiting for quite some time.

The update is based on Android 11 on the top of One UI 3.1 that comes with the build number or software version A525FXXU2AUF3 / A525FODM2AUF3 / A525FXXU2AUF3 respectively according to the region/variant. It’s currently rolling out in India through batches and we’ll expect that the same will be pushed to the rest of the regions as well.
If you’re already using the Samsung Galaxy A52 4G Indian variant then you should receive the OTA update notification. However, if you haven’t received the notification yet, you can always manually check for the same via navigating to the device Settings menu > Tap on Software update > Tap on Download and Install.
But if you’re unable to see the Galaxy A52 A525FXXU2AUF3 update available for your device via OTA, you can use Samloader to download and install the latest firmware manually.
