Let me inform you that, not every controller is supported for gamepads like the Nintendo Switch controller. Luckily, the Nintendo Switch Pro controller does work on Epic launcher. For that, we need to add Epic Games Store to Steam. Then we can able to access the controller.

How to add Epic Games Store to Steam

  1. Visit Steam and open Library
  2. Click on the Add Game button in the bottom left
  3. Select Add a Non-Steam Game
  4. Click on browse > navigate to the folder at the place where the game is installed. For eg. C:\Program Files\Epic Games\
  5. Find and select the executable (*.exe) for the game to add
  6. Select the game > and click on Add Selected Programs

Once done, the Epic storefront will be loaded to Steam. You can now play the game using different gamepads like DualShock 4, Dualsense, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X\S along with a Steam controller.

Assign the Switch Pro Controller to Steam

  1. Visit Steam > click Steam located in the upper-left corner > and go to settings
  2. Select the controller option located at the left sidebar
  3. Click on General Controller Settings
  4. Turn on the toggle for Switch Pro Configuration support
  5. You can toggle the visible controller layout option
  6. Close the settings and click on Ok
  7. Now, you can enjoy playing games.
