Xiaomi released their another router with a Qualcomm chip inside called Xiaomi Router 4Q. The Chinese tech manufacturer released it today on June 18 in China at 99 Yuan (US$15) only. The device comes in a blue color variant and now available in Beijing only via online. The device is available as the name of ‘Millet Router 4Q Blue’. So don’t get confused due to name.
Xiaomi Router 4Q Specifications and Features
The Xiaomi Router 4Q comes with a Qualcomm QCA9561 chip, clocked at 775MHz along with 64MB of DDR2 RAM and 16MB of onboard memory. The device supports the 2.4GHz band 802.11b/g/n and 802.3/3u wireless protocol, it’s using three (5 dBi) high-gain omnidirectional antennas. These antennas can provide up to 450Mbit/s of bandwidth, which supports 3×3 MIMO technology. The router is especially integrated with Xiaomi and Mijia smart devices, features a dedicated MiNET button which supports MIOT for quicker wi-fi connectivity.
The Xiaomi Router 4Q have to connect properly for the first time and then it will automatically connect on a single click without any password requirement. There are two LAN ports for wired connections and a WAN port as well. No USB connector is available. For router configuration, it uses the mobile application and you can use or control your router also. The dimensions are around 200 × 134.86 × 178.98mm. The Xiaomi Router 4Q supported with Web, Android, and iOS devices.
The power adapter features 5V/1A charging capacity. Adding the password security option with OpenWRT and MiWiFi ROM (WPA-PSK, PSK2, and wireless SSID broadcasting. The Xiaomi Mi WiFi Router 4 and Xiaomi Mi WiFi Router 3C, these two routers are also very popular and value for money products with up to 300Mbit/s and a USB port for external drives. There is no confirmation about the Indian launch and price. Still, we can expect it to available in India around Rs.1,200 approximately.
