Samsung on Thursday, August 9, launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 smartphone with the powerful S-Pen in New York. It’s a monster device in terms of the upgrade over the previous Galaxy Note 8 and price tag. Samsung also unveiled the Bixby Speaker, Fortnite Android Game, and Samsung Galaxy Watch on the same day.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 – Specifications and Features
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED Quad HD+ an 18:9 aspect ratio Infinity display. It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/512GB internal storage option. You can add an expandable storage up to 512GB via MicroSD card and that’s huge. The device is running on Android 8.1 Oreo over Samsung’s latest Experience UI out of the box.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 sports a dual rear camera of 12MP+12MP sensors with dual aperture lens (f/1.5 or f/2.4) option. Both the cameras support the wide-angle view, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) over Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature. The newly added feature called Scene Optimizer Mode can easily analyze the object up to 20 different types trackings. So, it can automatically optimize the object and nearby environment with light to produce better image quality even in low light condition. Other features like AR Emoji, Super Slow-Mo, Live Focus, Pro, Panorama, AI Portrait mode available.

The handset is packed with a massive 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge support. It does have connectivity options like 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, A-GPS, Fast Wireless Charging, Water Resistant, Bluetooth powered S-Pen etc. The device is supported by Samsung DeXPad software with the water cooling system and supercapacitor option as well.
Galaxy Note 9 – Price and Availability
The smartphone will be available in Blue and Silver Grey, Black, and a Golden color variant with Yellow S-Pen. The 6GB+128GB model will be sold at a price tag of $999 (Rs.68,900 approx) and the higher variant of 8GB+512GB model will be available at $1,250 (Rs.86,000 approx). The preorders will begin from August 10 and the Global Unlocked and all major carrier variant will be available from August 24.
Fortnite Android Game Now Exclusively Available On Galaxy Note 9
Now the Android user and especially Hardcore Online Gamers can play Fortnite Android Game exclusively on Galaxy Note 9. The Fortnite Season 6 will be available to this powerful flagship smartphone. However, the game won’t be accessible Sunday, August 12 due to compatibility rolling out issues. Fortnite is already available on iOS, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC devices. Still, the Fortnite compatible list of Android smartphones can get early beta access of the game within the next few days. Interested gamers can sign up for the access at Fortnite.com/Android. It’s rumored that the game won’t be available in Google Play Store for now.

Samsung Galaxy Home – Bixby Smart Speaker
Thursday, August 9, at the Unpacked event, Samsung announced the Galaxy Home, Bixby-powered smart AI speaker in Brooklyn. This smart speaker runs with Bixby Virtual Voice Assistant feature. It does have an onboard subwoofer, sound steering with audio tuning by AKG and total eight far-field microphones.
It also has three leg stands with a witch’s cauldron design, which gives a different look than Amazon Echo and Apple HomePod speakers. However, Samsung is claiming that this speaker will do all the same things as the Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri. Samsung didn’t announce the price and availability of this speaker yet. It could be available for sale from November this year.
Samsung Galaxy Watch – A Standalone Smartwatch of 2018
After so many rumors and leaks, the Samsung Galaxy Watch announced on August 9 at the Unpacked event with Samsung Galaxy Note 9. This new next-gen smartwatch comes with so many added flagship features which will blow your mind. This wearable is totally different than the previous Samsung Gear watches.

- The smaller 42mm sized smartwatch will be priced at $330 (Rs.22,700 approx) and larger 46mm sized smartwatch at $350 (Rs.24,000 approx)
The preorders from official Samsung.com before 8th September 2018 will get a free Samsung Watch Band.
