Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 and Snapdragon 439 SoC coming soon for Android Go devices.

Reports say that Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 and Snapdragon 439 SoC coming soon for Android Go devices. We recently heard about the flagship Snapdragon 845 chipset and powerful mid-range Snapdragon 710 SoC, Snapdragon 660 etc. But Qualcomm recently announced that the Snapdragon 429 and Snapdragon 439 SoC will be the entry-level Android Oreo Go based smartphone chipset within few months.

There is another entry-level budget category Qualcomm mobile platform chip available in the market such as Snapdragon 425, Snapdragon 430, 435, 450 etc. But these are also not especially optimized for low-budget Android Oreo Go edition smartphones.

According to Roland Quandt, Qualcomm will announce Snapdragon 429 and Snapdragon 439 chip very soon. He also confirms in his tweet that Snapdragon 439 will be the part of Snapdragon 625 SoC (MSM8953), which will run on 14nm based ARM Cortex-A53 Octa-core architecture. But there is no confirmation about the Snapdragon 429 processor.

The CPU clock speed frequency will also matter for entry-level Android Oreo Go enabled devices. Still, there is some disappointment as well that Qualcomm is trying to recycle the same almost two years older generation chipset in new devices with a new model name.

No doubt, Qualcomm mobile platform chips are best in class in the market as per value. Recently, MediaTek launched powerful Helio P60 for mid-range premium category all-rounder smartphones. So many MediaTek low-budget category processors out there but most probably those aren’t capable and optimized for new upcoming Android Oreo Go platform.
