Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 Plus smartphones are now finally official after a lot of rumors and leaks from past several months.

Lenovo revealed the Moto G6 and Moto E5 series smartphones in India. It includes Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 Plus, Moto E5, Moto E5 Plus, and Moto E5 Play variants. Though the price and release date have not been announced yet still, we can expect it at the end of the month or in between the month of May. Both the Moto G6 and Moto E5 series are quite identical to the look and design. Only the 18:9 aspect ratio display and the front fingerprint scanner is extra on the Moto G6 series.

The Moto G6 Plus gets a bigger display, higher processor, and higher RAM than two other G6 variants. On the other hand, Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play have same display size and RAM but the battery, camera, and processors are different. The Mot E5 variants are for entry-level segment. The Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus come with 18:9 aspect ratio display with better specs but the Moto E5 Play comes with 16:9 aspect ratio 720p display.

Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 Plus Specifications and Features

The three variants of Motorola smartphones such as Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 Plus comes with 18:9 aspect ratio display. All other specs are different in terms of price point.

Moto G6 Plus

The Moto G6 Plus has a bigger 5.93-inch full HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 Soc which is an Octa-core 2.2GHz processor coupled with 4GB RAM and Adreno 508 GPU. It has a 64GB of internal storage and can be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The dual rear camera comes with a 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. The 12MP camera features the 78-degree wide angle lens along with f/1.7 aperture and the secondary 5MP camera also comes with the 79-degree wide angle lens and f/2.2 aperture. The front features a single 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and an 80-degree wide angle lens. The rear dual camera has dual tone dual LED flash and the front camera sports a selfie LED flash.

All the necessary sensors like Proximity, Gyro, Compass, Ambient Light, Hall, and magnetometer sensors are available. The Bluetooth v5.0, 4G LTE, USB-C port, Wi-Fi, NFC, and the 3.5mm audio jack is available as connectivity segment. The dedicated fingerprint scanner is placed under the display followed by Motorola branding. The Moto G6 Plus comes with a non-removable 3,200 mAh battery and it supports Motorola Turbo Charging Adapter which can give 7 hours of usage juice on 15 minutes of charging. The device spotted in Gold and Indigo color variant. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with stock Android ROM. It weighs around 165 grams.

Moto G6

The Moto G6 comes with a 5.7-inch full HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio screen. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset which is an Octa-core 1.8GHz processor. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage which can be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The smartphone is packed with Adreno 506 GPU as well. The Moto G6 running on stock Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. The dual rear camera comes with 12MP and a 5MP sensor. The primary 12MP camera has f/1.8 aperture and 76-degree lens whereas, the secondary 5MP camera has f/1.8 aperture and 76-degree wide angle lens. The front-facing 5MP camera comes with 79-degree wide angle lens and f/2.2 aperture. Both the rear and front camera has LED flash, rear camera has dual tone dual LED flash for better focus and clarity.

It is also running on Android 8.0 Oreo stock ROM. The device will be available in Silver and Indigo color variant. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the front bottom under Motorola branding.

Moto G6 Play

The Moto G6 Play smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 430 Soc which is an Octa-core 1.4GHz processor along with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 505 GPU. The device has the 32GB of internal storage and can be expandable up to 128GB. It features a 5.7-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. The smartphone has a single 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a single LED flash. On the other side, the front features an 8MP selfie camera with 80-degree wide lens and f/2.2 aperture.

The Moto G6 Play comes with a bigger 4,000 mAh battery with Motorola Turbo Charging support. It includes all connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, USB-C, 3.5mm audio jack and all other necessary sensors. The device is also running on Android 8.0 Oreo stock ROM and it weighs around 173 grams. The Moto G6 Play will be available in Indigo and Gold color variant.

The Moto G6 Play comes with a bigger 4,000 mAh battery with Motorola Turbo Charging support.

Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 Plus Price and Availability

The smartphone will become available for sale in Brazil from today onwards. From the next week, all the Asia-Pacific countries including India, Europe, and the US markets will get the devices within few months. The Moto G6 device priced at around $249 (INR 16,500), while the Moto G6 Play will cost around $199 (INR 13,000), and the Moto G6 Plus priced at around $369 (INR 24,350). This is not the final price for Indian variant. But we can expect it to be around within these price tags.
