LG will launch soon their another flagship smartphone called “LG G7 ThinQ” after the success of LG G7 device. The G7 was a premium smartphone with all hardware and software features. Now the company plans to launch the new generation notch display device G7 ThinQ. Recently the company confirms that the LG G7 ThinQ will have a second screen functionality. Due to this, the user can change and customize the display and menu options as well such as hide the notch with color options and more. The device model name could be LGE LM-G710. The inbuilt app corner or app vault will be available this time for user accessibility. Recently, the Slashleaks also twitted about the upcoming second screen feature.
LG G7 ThinQ Specifications
The LG G7 ThinQ will come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Soc along with the 4GB of RAM. The Octa-core processor packed with four Kryo 385 Gold core architecture based on Cortex-A75 and four Cortex-A55 based Silver cores. The CPU is also made over 10nm LPP technology for higher clock speed and power efficiency. There is no confirmation about the higher RAM variant availability. The internal storage will be 64GB and it can be expandable as well. The device will run on Android 8.1 Oreo with custom UI out of the box pack. The device will have a dual rear camera setup along with a wide-angle lens and a dedicated fingerprint sensor. The extra volume control buttons are expected to feature in this device but the reason is unclear till now. Like the Google Pixel 2 and Samsung Galaxy S8/S9 series, the LG G7 ThinQ will also have a dedicated Google Assistant button.
The LG G7 ThinQ will feature a bigger 6.1-inch MLCD+ display with the 19:5 aspect ratio. The device will have a little bit of chin below the screen. This time LG will feature an MLCD+ display instead of OLED display because of the MLCD+ display costs lesser than the OLED and it also will stand out very well in terms of display size and the price tag. The MLCD+ display uses 30% less power and it works with RGBW matrix. That means the display quality and visibility will come out very well along with 800-nits of brightness with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels.
The LG G7 ThinQ will come with a non-removable 3,300 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge support. The USB-C port will work it better. The smartphone also expected to support Qualcomm Wireless Charging. The company decided to keep intact the 3.5mm audio jack for the music lovers. The audio quality will feature 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC enhancement. The leaked Geekbench score was great enough for gaming and multi-tasking. The single-core score was 2312 and the multi-core score was 8979, which was quite higher than the flagship LG V30. The smartphone will be IP68 certified Water and Dust resistant. All other major sensor and connectivity options will be available. Last but not the least, the device will have AI technology for the camera and user management. The face unlock feature is also expected.
The device looks like completely made out of the Aluminum frame and metal back. The leaked images showing only two color variants such as Black and Silver. The device will announce on 2nd May 2018 in New York at first then it could launch in Seoul on 3rd May. The price is still unknown.
