For a couple of previous years, we have seen that Google releasing its latest version of Android somewhere between August to September month every year. While the developer preview (DP1/DP2) are normally released in March. This year the upcoming Android Q (Android 10) is all set to come with a bunch of new features and optimizations. Now coming to the main topic, here is the list of eligible Android Q devices which may receive the update in future. However, there is no official confirmation on it. It’s purely based on user expectations and some leaks.

The ZenFone Live L1 and ZenFone Lite L1 wouldn’t get the Android Q update for sure but we can expect the Android 9 Pie update to both the devices very soon.

The upcoming Essential PH-2 should come with Android Q out-of-the-box as the device development is in the works right now. Otherwise, if the device comes with Android Pie by default, it will definitely get the Android 10 update similar to Google Pixel devices.

BlackBerry PRIV was the last model which got two major Android updates earlier. However, the BlackBerry market and user interest getting down every year. Meanwhile, some of the KEYone devices are still stuck on Android Nougat. It’s quite hard to tell right now that BlackBerry phones will get Android Q this year or next year. If possible, the following devices could get the opportunity as expected:

Android Q Expected Release Date

  • Android Q Stable is expected to be released in August-September 2019.
  • Android 10 Public Beta Build could be available from May 2019.
  • The Developer Preview (DP) builds should come in early March 2019.
